Purivo does not collect, store, transmit, or share file names, paths, sizes, metadata, scan results, usage analytics, or account information.
How access works
The Mac App Store build uses App Sandbox and the standard macOS folder picker. Purivo stores a security-scoped bookmark and works only inside that scope. The direct build may request native macOS authorization for protected app bundles.
Deletion safety
Scanning never changes files. Selected files are moved to macOS Trash. Permanent cleanup requires an explicit confirmation and stays within the authorized scope.

A few practical notes for getting the most from Purivo.
Why does Purivo need folder access?
The Mac App Store sandbox requires you to explicitly choose the folder an app may access. Purivo stores that permission as a security-scoped bookmark.
What does the uninstaller remove?
It reviews the selected app bundle and recognizable user-level support files, preferences, caches, saved state, containers, and related launch-agent entries. You confirm the final Trash action.
Does Purivo send any data to the internet?
No. Purivo is entirely local and makes no network requests.
Which macOS versions are supported?
Purivo requires macOS 12 Monterey or later and supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
